If a private person finds an item of property they can inform you directly by sending a message via easyfind.com. The finder cannot see any of your personal details.
You will be notified of the find immediately by email and SMS.
Faster communication can save you time and money (by not having to change locks, for instance).
If lost property is handed in to an authority participating in the Swiss Lost and Found Service (public lost property offices, transport authorities, police) the authority can access the details of the registered easyfind code and inform you directly.

Using the Swiss Lost and Found Service WITHOUT an easyfind code

You can, of course, benefit from the Swiss Lost and Found Service without purchasing an easyfind code from our online shop. In this case the scope of service is different:

You can use the online search function at easyfind.com to check whether an item of lost property has been handed in to an associate member of the Swiss Lost and Found Service.
If your search does not return a matching result you can submit a lost property report to easyfind.com with your details and a description of the item you have lost.
You will be notified as soon as an item that matches your description is handed in to an associated lost property office
The comparison between 'property lost' and 'property found' reports is based on the data entered into the system. The more precise the description of your property, the greater the probability of a match.
